[Unpad.ac.id, 15/12/2016] Emeritus Professor of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (FPIK) Universitas Padjadjaran, Prof. Bachrulhayat Koswara launched two books in Bale Sawala, Rectorate Building Jatinangor, Thursday (15/12). The books were entitled “Treatise on Set: Public Water and Marine Resources” and “Water in the Islamic Perspective and Science” published by Unpad Press.

On the occasion, Prof. Bachrul revealed that in the book “Treatise on set: Public Water and Marine”, he collected and reconstructed a number of his writings that have been published in the mass media. Written material arranged in six groups, namely public waters and the environment, the Law of Marine, empowerment of fishing communities, the discourse of change in the structure of the ministry of marine, food security and national and imported fish, controversy opened to fishing, the day of celebration of the world, and the ASEAN free trade.
“This is largely the result of my writing has been published in the mass media,” said the First Dean of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences Unpad.
Prof. Bachrul has been a staff editorial in Pikiran Rakyat Daily. Now, he is still actively writing to fill the rubric of opinion in the newspaper. Moreover, as Professor Emeritus, Prof. Bachrul also run a variety of academic work at Universitas Padjadjaran, including teaching, research, and writing textbooks.
Meanwhile, the book “Water in the Islamic Perspective and Science” organized by the Al-Quran and Hadith and Science and Technology. This book was also made based on the scientific background of Prof. Bachrul in the field of Aquatic Sciences (Aquatic Sciences), when he was studying for a degree in Master of Bogor Agricultural Institute in 1985. He also attended a short course on Applied Aquatic Ecology at Reading University, England, in 1991.
The book also carries the characteristics of the water, the magic of water, as well as the problems and crises Air. In his book, Prof. Bachrul also mention that man as a leader on this earth, are still not able to manage the resources of the earth well. This can be seen from a variety of natural damage that occurs due to human activity.
Mankind is obliged to maintain the environmental balance. “Because the damage to the environment will have an impact on humankind,” he said. *
