[Unpad Media Channel] Some Postgraduate students of Universitas Padjadjaran perform student ID card (Kartu Tanda Mahasiswa or KTM) retrieval and other student attributes on the second day of the welcoming ceremony for new postgraduate students at Grha Sanusi Hardjadinata, Unpad’s Iwa Koesoemasoemantri Campus on Thursday (2/22/20240.
Encountered during the event, Secretary of the Directorate of Education and Internationalization, Irma Nuraini, S.Si., M.T., said that Postgraduate students of Unpad who do student ID card retrieval were students who had already done online registration and paid tuition fees or scholarship registration. The students amount to more than 1,000 people which consists of students from the Professional, Postgraduate, Doctoral, Specialist, and Subspecialist Programs.
As stated by Irma, the series of registration and orientation activities must be attended by the postgraduate students. They will begin attending classes on February 26th, 2024.
“Thus, those who do not register and do not report for class postponements qualify as withdrawal, and the individual will no longer be considered as our student. So, if they want to enrol at Unpad again, they will have to take the entrance exam (SMUP) again next semester,” said Irma.
The requirements that students must bring include a photocopy of their ID card (KTP), a bank account opening form for the bank integrated with the student ID card and a form for new student completeness.
For student ID card printing, Unpad has already cooperated with the selected banks by the students, such as BNI, BRI, Mandiri, and BJB. For students who encounter technical issues, the committee have already prepared a helpdesk team who are ready to help.
Aside from student ID cards, students also collect essentials such as the alma mater jacket, tie, and class t-shirt. Students are also able to access information related to facilities supporting online-based education, namely Learning Management System (LMS) LiVE Unpad, Paus ID, and Luhung. At this event, information about library services and career development is provided.
“Moreover, there are also seminars in Bale Rumawat, there are four topics of seminars,” said Irma.
The four seminar topics are ‘Maximizing Postgraduate Education for Career Advancement,’ ‘Family-Study Balance for Married Students,’ ‘Maintaining Mental and Physical Well-being for Smooth Study,’ and ‘Managing Finances as Postgraduate Students.’
Irma advises new postgraduate students to check the academic calendar on the Unpad website. In the near future, students will be required to complete a Study Plan (KRS) for each study program.
Irma also recommends students make sure their Paus ID (student ID) is operational and ready to attend courses. The Paus ID will be utilized for a variety of educational purposes, including completing KRS, checking grades, making payments, and accessing LiVE Unpad.
“After this event, make sure your Paus ID is active, fill out KRS for each study program, and start lessons on February 26,” added Irma. (art/SA)*
