[Unpad Media Channel] Universitas Padjadjaran established a collaboration with Chongqing University by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at a meeting held at the Executive Lounge, Unpad Rectorate Building, in Jatinangor on Wednesday, March 27, 2024.

The signing of the MoU was done by the Rector of Unpad, represented at the signing by Unpad’s Director of Research and Community Service, Prof. Rizky Abdullah, S.Si. Apt., Ph.D. Chongqing University, meanwhile, was represented by their Director of the Center of International Students Mobility Service, Prof. Rui Chen.

In his welcoming remarks, Prof. Rizky expressed his aspirations for the collaboration, initiated by Unpad’s Faculty of Pharmacy, to open up opportunities for other faculties to establish their own collaborations with Chongqing University in various fields, such as language.

Prof. Rizky also hoped for the partnership between Unpad and Chongqing University to benefit both parties greatly.

“We also will be very glad if you can also help us in developing our Chinese Language program … We also will be glad to help you [by sending] our lecturer to your university (to help set up an Indonesian Language program)” said Prof. Rizky.

The Dean of Unpad’s Faculty of Pharmacy, Prof. Dr. Ajeng Diantini, M.Si., Apt., conveyed her thanks for Chongqing University’s willingness to establish an international collaboration with Unpad. Prof. Ajeng said that the collaboration between Unpad and Chongqing University is an important one and will continue to allow for other collaboration opportunities in the future.

Prof. Ajeng believed that, through the signing of the MoU, various forms of partnership will emerge, such as research collaboration, international student and professor exchange, and many other activities beneficial for both Unpad and Chongqing University.

“So, hopefully, there will be a fruitful collaboration between both universities, and it will make our universities increase [their] global engagement,” said Prof. Ajeng.

Afterwards, the Deputy Director of Chongqing University’s International Students Mobility Service, Prof. Rui Chen also expressed his hope to establish collaboration between Unpad and Chongqing University in various aspects.
