Moreover, Ahmad said that the limitation of agricultural land challenges efforts to increase agricultural production, particularly in Indonesia. Therefore, the 2024 ISCU theme is crucial because it is time for agriculture to shift into smart agricultural technology as an alternative to dealing with these issues.
“It is time for us to switch to smart agriculture technology as an alternative that can overcome this problem. Smart agriculture technology has several advantages that currently adopted agricultural technology does not have. Therefore, this summer course program is very important,” said Ahmad.
Dr. Zumi Saidah, SP., M.Si., the executive chair of this program, said that organizing this summer course is part of a series of activities within the framework of the 65th anniversary of the Faculty of Agriculture at Unpad. Through the implementation of this program, participants are expected to comprehend the various benefits of smart farming, apply the basic methodologies used in various disciplines, and integrate them.
“Hopefully, you (participants) will gain useful knowledge and experience,” said Zumi. (arm/SA)*
