[Unpad Media Channel] Selected as a Top Writer in the National Writing Competition, named Best Writer at the DBL Creator Competition, and achieving a GPA of 3.97, Irma Handayani is honored as the Best Applied Bachelor Graduate at the 4th Wave of the Graduation Ceremony for the 2023/2024 Academic Year that is held at Grha Sanusi Hardjadinata Unpad Iwa Koesoemasoemantri Campus, Bandung, on Wednesday, August 7th, 2024.

Finding a suitable learning style is one of Irma’s tips for students. According to Irma, students will be more motivated to learn if they understand the learning style that works best for them.

“If it does not suit you, keep searching until you find the most suitable learning style so that you don’t start thinking that learning is boring and a burden during college,” said Irma.

Moreover, Irma also advises students to avoid delaying their assignments, seek out multiple references and literature related to their coursework, and actively ask questions of professors or close friends. These practices helped Irma manage her tasks and gain a better understanding of what was taught by her professors.

According to Irma, multitasking should be avoided by students because it can lead to less effective results. She also recommends that students maintain a never-give-up attitude and fully commit to their work.

“If you cannot do something yet, you should keep trying and always strive to do your best,” said Irma, who is also a recipient of the Karya Salemba Empat (KSE) scholarship.

During her studies, Irma participated in several competitions, including the DBL Creator Competition 2019 (Selected Writer) and the National Writing Competition with the theme “Freedom” – Shinings Media 2019 (Best Writer). Irma was also active in campus organizations, engaged in independent internships, and managed a small business at home.

To balance her academic and non-academic activities, Irma revealed that she used a priority scale to ensure that her goals and objectives were achieved effectively and efficiently.

“Good time management, reducing less beneficial activities, and maximizing time to continuously improve oneself,” said Irma.

In achieving all these goals, Irma is driven by the desire to develop herself and build relationships with many people. She also enjoys trying new things, including seeking knowledge and experiences she has not had before.

During her time at Unpad, Irma expressed her happiness for being able to create a positive track record and set a good example for her juniors to stay motivated in pursuing their studies despite many obstacles.

In the future, Irma hopes that Unpad will continue to commit to community service that benefits many people.

“I hope the university (Unpad) becomes increasingly active in community service through programs that involve students, faculty, and the local community to create a meaningful and positive impact,” said Irma. (release/SA)*
