[Unpad Media Channel] The Career Development Center (CDC) of Universitas Padjadjaran held a CDC Talks seminar with the theme “Design Your Life: Learn About Design Thinking Methodology to Plan Your Career and Life Goals” at the Bale Sawala Building, Rectorate, Unpad Jatinangor Campus on October 10th, 2024. The seminar featured Angie Kamath, Dean of the School of Professional Studies at New York University (NYU), and was moderated by Dr. Prita Amalia, S.H., M.H., Head of Unpad’s Alumni Partnership Office.

During the event, Angie discussed the concept of design thinking, an approach that focuses on building new solutions to address future challenges. She emphasized that applying design thinking involves finding one’s passion, and comparing it to a product that is continuously refined. “When we reflect on ourselves, we must find our passion, discover what excites us, and seek out a company or field of work that motivates us. This way, we can focus on finding solutions,” said Angie.

The event was opened by Mohamad Fahmi, S.E., M.T., Ph.D., Director of Education and Internationalization at Unpad. In his opening remarks, Fahmi praised the Career Development Center for its efforts to enhance the competitiveness of Unpad students in the job market.

He also expressed hope that Unpad and New York University (NYU) could establish collaborations in emerging fields that are highly sought after in Indonesia.

“I hope that in the future, Unpad and NYU can collaborate on joint degree programs, for example, in the field of sports business. This sector is rapidly growing in Indonesia, but no one currently offers a dedicated program in this area,”” Fahmi said.” said Fahmi. (SA)*
