[Unpad Media Channel] Universitas Padjadjaran is committed to supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), aiming to improve community well-being while preserving the environment. One of the initiatives is the implementation of a green campus concept, which includes various campus facilities designed with sustainability in mind.
This was discussed during the SDGs implementation socialization by Unpad at the “Universitas Padjadjaran Greets Lampung” event, organized by the Unpad Alumni Association of Lampung at Grand Mercure Hotel Bandar Lampung on Friday, November 15th, 2024. During the event, Unpad also promoted its Endowment Fund program, which helps support the availability of various campus facilities.
One of the main objectives of the socialization during the alumni meeting was to enhance alumni awareness of their role as part of Unpad in maintaining the environment. The event also aimed to promote the Endowment Fund as a key source for supporting the creation of a green campus. Information about the Endowment Fund can be found at endowment.unpad.ac.id.
Unpad has implemented several initiatives to achieve its green campus vision, including the installation of Solar Power Plants on several buildings at the Jatinangor campus and the availability of plastic bottle recycling machines.
The university is committed to environmental preservation by maintaining its arboretum, the Leuwi Padjadjaran riparian ecosystem, and the Eco Edupark within the campus. Unpad’s faculty and researchers also contribute to SDGs efforts through various activities at the SDGs Center. (SA)*
