Nine Study Programs at Faculty of Social and Political Sciences of Unpad Undertake International Accreditation Assessment by FIBAA

[Unpad Media Channel] The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Universitas Padjadjaran underwent an online international accreditation assessment by the Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA) from Germany. A total of nine study programs at FISIP Unpad participated in this process as a strategic step to enhance educational quality and gain international recognition.

The online assessment process is divided into two clusters. Cluster 1 includes the Bachelor’s and Master’s programs in Public Administration, the Bachelor’s and Master’s programs in Business Administration, and the Bachelor’s program in International Relations, which will take place from March 11th to March 13th, 2025. Meanwhile, Cluster 2, covering the Bachelor’s program in Anthropology, the Bachelor’s and Master’s programs in Social Welfare, and the Master’s program in Public Policy, is conducted from February 18th to February 20th, 2025.

“From the faculty’s perspective, we see that FISIP Unpad aims to achieve a global reputation and make an impact on society. Therefore, we want to understand what improvements have been successfully implemented over the past few years,” said one of the FIBAA assessors, Michael Schieder.

During the online assessment process, the FIBAA assessment team conducted a comprehensive evaluation of the curriculum, teaching methods, faculty quality, and academic support facilities at FISIP Unpad. In response, FISIP Unpad presented relevant data and documentation to support the quality and effectiveness of its academic programs.

“Unpad has a vision and commitment to global academic excellence, striving to become a world-class center for inclusive and sustainable education and knowledge, fostering global innovation, and creating a real impact on society. Therefore, international accreditation is a key strategy for gaining global recognition,” explained the Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs of Unpad, Prof. Zahrotur Rusyda Hinduan, S.Psi., MOP., Ph.D.

The event is attended by FIBAA assessors, including Marie Bielke, M.A., Dr. Rūta Petrauskienė, Dr. Fotarisman Zaluchu, S.K.M., M.P.H., and Dr. Victoria Kumala Sakti. From Unpad, several university leaders, FISIP executives, and the Quality Assurance Unit team arere present.

Through this assessment process, FISIP Unpad hopes to achieve FIBAA international accreditation as a recognition of its continuously improving academic quality. Success in this accreditation is expected to further strengthen Unpad’s position globally and open more opportunities for international collaboration in the future.
