[Unpad Media Channel] Graduate School of Universitas Padjadjaran provides fitness corner facility that can be used by students, staff, and professors to help maintain their physical fitness. The facilities is officially inaugurated at the Unpad Graduate School, located at Jl. Dipati Ukur No. 35 Bandung, on Monday, April 21st, 2025.

“This is a great example from the Graduate School of Unpad, providing this facility because exercise is important, and we also need proper rest,” said the Rector of Unpad, Prof. Arief S. Kartasasmita, when inaugurating the fitness corner located on the 3rd floor of the Graduate School of Unpad Building.

The Graduate School’s fitness corner is equipped with several exercise machines, including a stationary bike, treadmill, chest press, bench, and dumbbells. The Dean of the Graduate School of Unpad, Prof. Dr. med. Setiawan, dr., stated that this facility supports the Unpad Sehat (Healthy Unpad) program run by the university.

“The Rector is very concerned about the health of the Unpad community. Currently, fitness facilities are still very limited, even though they are among the needs of the Unpad community. Moreover, healthy living habits also need to be improved. For example, students often focus too much on completing their studies and forget to take care of their own fitness,” said Prof. Setiawan.

Prof. Setiawan hopes this facility will be well utilized by the Unpad community, especially students, staff, and professors at the Graduate School. He also hopes this initiative can serve as an example for other units to invest a small portion of their budgets into providing fitness equipment.
