[Unpad.ac.id, 17/04/2013] Today (17/04), as many as 270 tenth graders from Madrasah Aliyah (Islamic High School) Husnul Khotimah Kuningan, together with their teachers, are now in Unpad campus in Jatinangor, looking for more detailed information on facilities and faculties that Unpad has. Representing Unpad, Wenny Widyowati, from the Public Relation Office, welcomes the group in Bale Sawala Unpad in Jatinangor.

“Many of our students are interested in going to Unpad, to study here. Hopefully our coming here can make us know better about Unpad,” said Amam Badrutamam, a teacher who is also the group leader.
Responding to that, Widowati gives a slideshow presentation on the history of Unpad, its study programs, facilities and admission. She explains further that, in relation to admission system, this year Unpad offers only two means of admission, SNMPTN and SBMPTN respectively. “Competition is getting tougher. As of today, Unpad ranks as the university with most applicants, i.e. 141864 applicants whereas the university will only admit 3733 freshmen. So, since you’re still in tenth grade, you still have plenty of time to make enough preparation to score excellent academic achievement and to finally get admitted here,” says Weny.
Showing their enthusiasm, the students ask a great number of questions, most of which are about student exchange programs with foreign universities, courses to be prioritized in rapport books, and the reason that Faculty of Psycholgy still belongs to the category of natural science.
