[Unpad.ac.id, 3/05/2013] Assigned by the Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst (DAAD), Jutta Kunze, M.A., has been teaching in German Department Unpad since 2007. Her term of duty has now come to an end. As a token of appreciation for her great service in the department, the chair of German Department organizes an event called “Apresiasi bagi Pengabdian Jutta Kunze, MA” in Aula PSBJ Faculty of Arts, in Jatinangor on Friday (3/05).

“Through this event, collaborating with DAAD, we would like to express our gratitude for Ms. Kunze’s excellent dedication since 2007,” said Dr. Damayanti Priatin, M.Hum., the chair of German Department Unpad. Priatin continued that Kunze’s presence has brought positive impact for the department. Kunze’s is seen to be very active in contributing to the excellent service and learning service, in particular her teaching German drama and poetry. What’s more, she even took part in student field work (KKNP) Unpad in Subang in 2009. She informed her activity to her superiors and had some German students participate in KKNM Unpad.
Kunze felt very much appreciated and grateful for the opportunity to teach in Unpad. She admitted that she felt very comfortable during her stay in Bandung.
The event consisted of two sessions, the first of which is a dramatic monologue “Also Sprach Zarathustra” by Wawan Sofwan of Thursday (2/05) and panel discussion “Deutsche Literatur in Indonesien” on Friday (3/05), presenting Dr. Phil. N.R. Purnomowulan (Unpad), Anton Solihin (Perpustakaan Batu Api), and Dr. Lucia Hilman (Universitas Indonesia).
Present in the panel discussion were Vice Rector III Unpad Dr. med. Setiawan, dr., the director of Alumni and Student Development Center, Dr. Ir. Heryawan Kemal Mustafa, MSc., Faculty of Arts staff, and DAAD officials from Jakarta.
Dilla, German department student class of 2010, admitted that Kunze was an excellent teacher. “She’s very punctual, has never missed class. As a native speaker, her teaching method makes the lesson easy to understand,” said she.
