[Unpad Media Channel] Some Ambassadors from ASEAN and African countries held an afternoon tea at the Executive Lounge Room, Unpad Campus Iwa Koesoemasoemantri, Bandung, Monday (8/1/2024). The meeting discusses opportunities for education cooperation with related countries.

In his speech, the Vice-Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Arief Sjamsulaksan Kartasasmita, dr., SpM(K), M.Kes., PhD., said that Unpad felt very honored to be the host of an important discussion, as it was attended by numerous representatives from ASEAN and African countries.

“Welcome to Universitas Padjadjaran. We are honored to welcome all of you here because this is an important meeting. Together, we have a discussion at Universitas Padjadjaran,” said Prof. Arief.

On that occasion, Prof. Arief introduces Unpad entirely to the attending Ambassadors. Besides explaining related matters of Unpad, Prof. Arief also presents various achievements and accomplishments of Unpad.

Not only that but in his presentation, Prof. Arief also talks about the “2024 Unpad” program, which will be done by Unpad in 2024. Prof. Arief elaborates on one program about Unpad internalization.

“We believe an accreditation process is necessary to have a positive effect. However, we feel that having accreditation only in Indonesia is not sufficient. Therefore, we are committed to international recognition, and currently, there are 46 internationally accredited programs,” he explained.

After the presentation from Prof. Arief, the afternoon tea continues with a discussion session with the Ambassadors and representatives of Unpad. During this opportunity, the Ambassadors are welcome to pose questions to Unpad’s representatives (arm/SA)*
