[Unpad Media Channel] Universitas Padjadjaran Faculty of Dentistry (FKG) received a visit from delegates of Fakulti Pergigian Universiti Malaya in order to sign a memorandum of agreement (MoA), allowing the two faculties to collaborate.
The visit was held at Unpad FKG’s campus in northern Bandung, on February 26-27, 2024.
The visiting delegation included Prof. Dr. Zamros Yuzadi Mohd Yusof as the Deputy Dean of Development, Dr. Marhazlinda Jamaludin as the Head of the Community Oral Health & Clinical Prevention Department, and Prof. Dr. Norintan Binti Ab. Murat as a member of the Academic Staff of the Department of Community Oral Health and Clinical Prevention.
The Universiti Malaya representatives were welcomed by the Dean of Unpad FKG, Dr. Dudi Aripin, drg., Sp.KG., Subsp.KR(K), as well as the Vice Deans, Managers, Head of Internationalization and the Heads of study programs and departments.
In his welcoming speech, Dudi said that it was an honor to be able to come together and discuss the finalization of the MoA between Unpad FKG and Universiti Malaya.
“This agreement marks not only an official partnership between our institutions, but also our shared commitment in the education, research, and practice of dentistry in our respective countries,” said Dudi.
Dudi added that the collaboration aims to assimilate the many traits that the two institutions have, forming an endeavor that can be undertaken together.
“I invite every stakeholder present to actively take part in today’s discussion and share valuable knowledge which will contribute to the improvement and application of this MoA,” he concluded.
Several aspects of the agreed-upon collaboration includes student exchanges, summer courses, and collaborations in research, teaching, and holding talks and seminars, as well as community service.
Aside from discussing the MoA, the delegates from Universiti Malaya also examined several facilities in FKG Unpad, RSGM Unpad, Unpad rectorate building, and visited Unpad’s Laboratorium Sentral. (release)(arm/ICP)*
