104 Participants Take Part in the Initial Assessment of Unpad Wellness

[Unpad Media Channel] A total of 104 participants, consisting of professors and educational personnel from Universitas Padjadjaran, take part in the initial process of Unpad Wellnes that is held at Unpad Hospital, Jatinangor, Monday (10/6/2024) until Thursday (13/6/2024).

The Vice of Unpad Wellness, who is also the Dean of Graduate Schools at Unpad, Prof. Dr. med. Setiawan, dr. said that Unpad Wellness was a form of effort to improve the quality of life in the Unpad environment.

The initial assessment process consists of several examinations, namely blood pressure examination, waist circumference measurement, blood sugar and lipid levels, and fitness examination.

“This assessment is especially from the physical aspect,” said Prof. Setiawan.

Different from the previous implementation of Unpad Wellness, Prof. Setiawan noted that the strategy used for this year was to form a transformation agent. Previously, the participants were given guidance on how to improve the aspects that needed attention.

“Then a program will be developed within three months, where areas that need improvement will be addressed, while areas that are already good will be maintained and enhanced,” said Prof. Setiawan.

Through the strategy of the forming transformation agent, Prof. Setiawan hoped that participants were not only succeeding in improving themselves but also spreading that goodness to others.

Prof. Setiawan also hoped that the implementation of Unpad Wellness would show a positive impact with the increasing number of Unpad faculty members and educational staff showing improvement towards a better direction.

“Surely, we hope this program will succeed. The success lies in that all those who register as agents of change participate in this activity to the best of their ability. Subsequently, after they succeed personally, they must also be willing to spread that goodness to others,” explained Prof. Setiawan. (art)*
