[Unpad Media Channel] The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam or FMIPA) collaborates with the Research Center for Biosystematics and Evolution from National Research and Innovation Agency (Pusat Riset Biosistematika dan Evolusi Badan Riset dan Inovasi Nasional or PRBE BRIN). The collaboration is implemented by the signing of the Collaboration Agreement that is held in the Einstein Room, the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at Unpad, Jatinangor, Wednesday (3/7/2024).
The Collaboration Agreement is done by the Dean of Unpad’s FMIPA Prof. Dr. Iman Rahayu, M.Si. with the Head of Research Center for Biosystematics and Evolution from BRIN Dr. R. Taufiq Purna Nugraha.
Quoted from the website of Unpad’s FMIPA, the collaboration between Unpad’s FMIPA and PRBE BRIN is done to study the biodiversity in several ecosystems in West Java Province. This serves as an effort to mainstream biodiversity, particularly in West Java.
“The Collaboration Agreement aims to promote awareness and contribute to making biodiversity a mainstream consideration in the utilization and management of West Java’s biodiversity, as well as establishing legal foundations for conducting research on biodiversity disclosure across various ecosystems in West Java, as part of efforts to mainstream biodiversity in Indonesia,” said Taufiq.
In this collaboration, Dr.rer.nat Ayu Savitri Nurinsiyah acts as the coordinator representing PRBE BRIN’s Research Staff, and Annisa, M.Si., Ph.D represents the Department of Biology in the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at Unpad.
The event continues with a Studium Generale session featuring Dr. R. Taufiq Purna Nugraha, Head of the Research Center for Biosystematics and Evolution from BRIN. (release/arm/SA)*
