[Unpad Media Channel] Universitas Padjadjaran welcomes a visit from the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) team from the United States for the accreditation process of three programs at Faculty of Nursing at Unpad. The visit is hosted by Unpad Rector Prof. Rina Indiastuti and her team in the Rector’s Meeting Room, Unpad Rectorate Building, Jatinangor, on Monday, August 26th, 2024).
The visiting assessors are Keri Nunn-Ellison, EdD/MSN/Ed, RN, CNE (Senior Director of ACEN) and Laura Polk, PhD, RN, CNE (Director of ACEN). The visit to the Faculty of Nursing at Unpad will continue until August 29th, 2024. The three programs applying for international accreditation are the Undergraduate Program of Nursing, the Profession Program of Nursing, and the Postgraduate Program of Nursing.
During the occasion, the Rector highlighted that Faculty of Nursing at has achieved significant milestones in research and education. Several staff members and students have earned various achievements and produced innovations. The Faculty of Nursing is also supported with a range of facilities to support educational activities. The Rector also mentioned the provided various educational supports and service, including financial and human resources.
“We believe that the programs at Unpad can continue to enhance their quality and reputation, particularly at the international level,” said the Rector.
During the visit, Keri Nunn-Ellison expressed her appreciation for Unpad’s efforts to achieve international accreditation. To gain a deeper understanding of the processes at the Faculty of Nursing at Unpad, the ACEN team will conduct assessments and ask several questions. This visit marks the first step in the accreditation process, with further field assessment visits to Faculty of Nursing at Unpad to follow.
“We will note several aspects related to Unpad’s Nursing Faculty, particularly those that make this program a candidate for ACEN accreditation,” said Keri Nunn-Ellison.
