Faculty of Nursing at Universitas Padjadjaran Holds Two Workshops Ahead of 9th PINC 2024

[Unpad Media Channel] As a pre-conference event leading up to the 9th Padjadjaran International Nursing Conference (PINC 2024), the Faculty of Nursing at Universitas Padjadjaran organized two thematic workshops held at Holiday Inn Pasteur, Bandung, on Monday, October 28, 2024. The workshops aim to enhance professional competencies among academics and practitioners in the nursing field, focusing on high-quality scientific manuscript writing and pre-hospital evacuation and transport skills for paramedics.

The first workshop, titled “Strategies for Writing a High-Quality Manuscript: What and How?” was moderated by Iqbal Pramukti, S.Kep., Ners., M.Sc., Ph.D., and featured keynote speaker Prof. Chung-Ying Lin, an expert in international scientific writing. Prof. Lin shared effective strategies for developing, structuring, and presenting high-quality manuscripts in line with international publication standards, providing participants with insights to enhance their publication opportunities in reputable journals.

The second workshop, “Evacuation and Transportation Skills Pre-Hospital by Paramedics,” was led by experts from Pro Emergency and moderated by Aan Nuraeni, S.Kep., Ners., M.Kep., Dr (Cand). This intensive session provided practical training in pre-hospital evacuation and transport skills, crucial for on-site life-saving efforts. Through hands-on approaches, participants gained deeper knowledge in implementing safe, effective evacuation and transport techniques aligned with standard procedures.

Prof. Kusman Ibrahim, S.Kp., MNS., Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Nursing at Universitas Padjadjaran, stated, “We hope that the 9th PINC 2024 pre-conference workshops will provide concrete and applicable knowledge for participants in both academic and practical fields, enriching their understanding of the challenges within the nursing profession.”

This pre-conference event marks an exciting start to the 9th Padjadjaran International Nursing Conference in 2024, expected to be a pivotal moment for capacity development and professionalism in nursing.
