Palawa Unpad Student Nature Lovers Community (PMPA) was inaugurated on October 5 1982. The word ‘Palawa’ is not an abbreviation but a word taken from the first script that entered Java, namely ‘Pallawa’. The philosophy behind this name signifies a script that brought enlightenment to the early development of literacy in the nation. Through this organization, members are expected to embody the meaning of ‘Palawa’ itself—enlightening the public in matters of outdoor adventure and environmental awareness. Various outdoor activities that are usually carried out are climbing mountains, exploring caves, climbing cliffs, rapid sports and beach walking.

Palawa Unpad PMPA also operates in the environmental sector through conservation seminars, plant inventories, and other activities. Apart from being an outdoor activist and nature lover, PMPA Palawa Unpad is also involved in humanitarian activities such as searching for missing people in mountains, forests, rivers, beaches and disaster response. These activities are supported by physical training, various material discussions, and simulation exercises in the campus environment so that you can prepare well for outdoor activities.
