[Unpad.ac.id, 27/09/2013] Unpad Rover Scout student unit gain achievement at The 5th Senior Rover Scout Creativity (SRSC) on September 19-23 in Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes), participated by scout organizations from all over Indonesia.
Unpad Rover Scout contingent is taking part at the 5th Senior Rover Scout Creativity (SRSC) 2013 Universitas Negeri Semarang on September 19-23, 2013.*
The contingent consisting of two teams represented by Wahyu Indra (Fapet), Habib Ali Zamzani (Fapet), Deden Rochman Saputro (Fikom), Euis Siti Rohimah (FIB), Lisdian Widyowati (FIK), and Muzainah Nurazijah (FIB) placed second for the Scout Idea Writing Competition (GTP).
The first team presented their idea called Scout Kampong for Asean Community 2015”, and the second one proposed the idea which they named “Entrepreneurship-based National Scout Bank Saving (Tabpramnas).” For the poster making competition, the teams came up with the idea “Rover Scout’s Role in Building Youth Character”, and these resulted in the fifth position from all over Indonesia after the last time the unit joined the same event in 2008.
“Alhamdulillah for the achievements and hopefully this can motivate other scouts in Unpad to make the similar efforts,” said Saputro, the Team 2 captain.
SRSC is a scouting competition for every university scout unit, and this year there were 78 participants from many universities in Indonesia. The event includes a series of activities and competitions, such as welcoming party, knowledge, tourism, and Red and White in Harmony, which is an art event for every contingent. Besides poster making and GTP competitions, there is also Scouting Skills Competition. This year, Universitas Jendral Soedirman places the first for the entire event.
