[Unpad Media Channel] Universitas Padjadjaran Rector Prof. Arief S. Kartasasmita welcomes the Hungarian Ambassador to the Republic of Indonesia, H.E. Lilla Karsay, at the Rector’s Office on Jl. Dipati Ukur No. 35, Bandung, on Wednesday, May 28th, 2025. On this occasion, Ambassador Karsay also deliveres a guest lecture at Unpad’s Graduate School.

“I am pleased to have the opportunity to visit and introduce study opportunities in Hungary, including various available scholarships. We believe there are many high-potential talents in Indonesia who can take advantage of these opportunities, whether for short courses or full degree programs at the undergraduate, master’s, or doctoral levels,” said Lilla Karsay.

Ambassador Karsay also discusses potential areas of collaboration with Unpad, such as sending Unpad students and lecturers to Hungary and inviting Hungarian students and faculty to come to Unpad or Indonesia in general.

Prof. Arief Kartasasmita welcomes the opportunity and shared that Unpad offers a wide range of study programs across 16 faculties and 2 schools. “We can start with short-term programs by inviting Hungarian students or lecturers to visit Unpad and deliver guest lectures. This way, they can directly observe how teaching and learning take place at Unpad,” said Prof. Arief.

Accompanying the Rector during the visit are Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs Prof. Zahrotur Rusyda Hinduan, Head of the Strategic Development and University Reputation Unit (SPSRU) Prof. Mohamad Fahmi, and Head of the Office of International Affairs, Anggia Utami Dewi, Ph.D.

Following the meeting, Ambassador Karsay delivers a guest lecture titled “Diplomatic Storytelling: How Communication Shapes Hungary–Indonesia Relations” at Unpad’s Graduate School. The session is opened by Prof. Zahrotur Rusyda Hinduan and moderated by the Honorary Consul of Hungary to Indonesia in Bandung, Reza Ahmad Maulana.
