[Unpad Media Channel] The Student Choir of Universitas Padjadjaran (PSM Unpad) is once again preparing to make Indonesia and Unpad proud on the global stage. The choir is gearing up to participate in the 8th Rimini International Choral Competition, which will take place in Italy on 14th-16th November 2025.
“This is certainly not the first time PSM Unpad has competed internationally. We are grateful for their continuous efforts to excel at the world level. We hope they will achieve the best possible results,” said Unpad Rector Prof. Arief Sjamsulaksan Kartasasmita during a meeting with representatives of the Kirana Team of PSM Unpad at the Rector’s Meeting Room, Unpad Dipati Ukur Campus, Bandung, Wednesday, 5th November 2025.
The Rector further encouraged the team to stay motivated throughout the competition. He emphasized that beyond aiming for the best results, the process of striving and learning during the journey is the most important aspect of achieving success. The meeting was also attended by the Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Zahrotur Rusyda Hinduan, and the Head of the Center for Student Creativity Development, Dr. Mohamad Nurzaman.
“I hope you always give your best, but remember that it is not only the results that matter. The quality of the process is just as important,” the Rector stressed.
Meanwhile, PSM Unpad Supervisor Theresia Eriyani, S.Kep., Ners., M.H.Kes., explained that apart from the competition, the choir will also undertake a cultural mission by organizing a Cultural Concert in Rome, Italy. She stated that this initiative is part of PSM Unpad’s efforts to introduce Indonesia’s rich cultural heritage to the world.
“We kindly ask for your prayers as we will depart for Italy to compete while also carrying out a cultural mission in Rome. We hope this activity will help showcase Indonesia’s abundant cultural wealth to the international community,” she said.*
