[Unpad.ac.id, 16/12/2015] Four Dean candidates for Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (FPIK) for period from 2016 to 2021 have their own visions for the faculty’s future. The programs are presented in the event of “Program Socialization for Dean Candidates in Universitas Padjadjaran” in FPIK Hall, Jatinangor, Wednesday (16/12).

In the presence of Rector Prof. Tri Hanggono Achmad, Vice Rector for Research, Community Service, Cooperation, Innovation and Enterprise Dr. Keri Lestari, M.Sc., Apt., Vice Rector of Governance and Resources Dr. Sigid Suseno, SH, M. Hum., academicians and education personnel of FPIK, the four Dean candidates presented their programs, moderated by Dr. Asep Agus Handaka, S.Pi., M.T. The dean candidates were Dr. Yudi Nurul Ihsan, S.Pi., Prof. Dr. Ir. Junianto, M.P., M.Sc., Dr. Ir. Eddy Afrianto, and Dr. Ir. Iskandar, M.Sc.,

Dr. Yudi presented concept of the “Mariteam”, as the spirit of to improve FPIK quality as center of excellence in the field of fisheries and marine. The concept of “Mariteam” was an acronym for beneficiaries, trust, respect, intellectual, and team work.

In line with President Joko Widodo’s step in developing maritime aspects, Dr. Yudi proposed to increase academic atmosphere quality and competitiveness through active participation of FPIK Unpad academicians in national and international arena, by improving teaching, research, and facilities and human resources quality.

Prof. Junianto presented his programs on the development of regional competitive FPIK for 2016-2021. In order to realize the plan, he stated that FPIK must improve its quality to meet IKK Unpad target.

Improving academic atmosphere, strengthening research and innovation, as well as establishing cooperation with partners, particularly SMEs and fishing industry were several main points of Prof. Junianto’s program. By 2021, the IKK-related UNPAD re Tridharma target shall be achieved entirely by FPIK.

Dr. Edi presented regular program and development of FKIP Dean. The routine program put forward ways to produce competitive graduates through synergy between courses, professors, and faculty leaders.
His program of development featured development of academic enterprise. This was Rector’s program for trade various academic products emerging from various lecturers’ business innovations. Innovation needed synergy between the central and faculty leadership. In addition, quantifiable curriculum development and character strengthening became development program of FPIK in order to create academic atmosphere.

Iskandar
Dr. Ir. Iskandar, M.Si

The program presented by Dr. Iskandar was to build advanced FPIK through the spirit of togetherness. The proposed strategies to realize the program were competence, uniqueness, action, and loyalty. These strategies were also carried out in order to support IKK Unpad achievement.

The spirit of togetherness, according to Dr. Iskandar, was necessary to establish FPIK. It should be realized through synergy between faculty leaders, professors, students, and educators. *
