Unpad Students Achieved Best Diplomacy Award in London International MUN 2016

[Unpad.ac.id, 11/03/2016] Students of Public Relations, Faculty of Communication (Fikom), Universitas Padjadjaran, Regina Gabriela won Best Diplomacy Award in London International Model United Nations (LIMUN) 2016 on 26-28 February 2016. Regina was one of nine delegates Unpad who competed in the LIMUN 2016.

During the competition, Regina was in the committee Disarmament and International Security Committee (DISEC). In this committee, it was discussed how to maintain world peace and security. In the mock session of the UN’s, Regina represented Australia along with nine other Unpad delegation.

During the three-day competition, Regina managed to propose a number of solutions to be included in the Draft Resolutions. “This is a great achievement considering the number of countries that participated were enthusiastic to include their solutions into the Draft Resolutions,” said Faculty Adviser of Universitas Padjadjaran Delegation for LIMUN 2016, Ailsa Vidi Chandrika in a release received by PR Unpad.

Regina’s victory was the first achievement of Universitas Padjadjaran in the Europe largest Model United Nations event. “Hopefully, this victory could be the starting point for Unpad to be return in next year’s award,” said Ailsa. *
