[Unpad.ac.id, 1/04/2016] Universitas Padjadjaran partnered with PT. Aplikanusa Lintasarta in terms of improvement of on campus information technology. The agreement was realized through Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing between Unpad with Lintasarta in Executive Lounge Unpad, Jalan Dipati Ukur No. 35, Bandung, Friday (1/04).

The MoU signing was conducted by Vice Rector for Research, Community Service, Cooperation, Innovation, and Business Unpad Dr. Keri Lestari, M.Si., Apt., and Business Director of Lintasarta, Alfi Asman.
Also attending the event were Vice Rector of Planning, Finance, and Information Systems, Arief Sjamsulaksan Kartasasmita, dr., PhD., Director of Technology and Information Systems, Drs. Gatot Riwi, M.Si., Director of Cooperation and Partnership, Parikesit, PhD., along with Deans and Cooperation and Partnership Managers in Unpad.
Alfi said that the cooperation with Unpad is related to development of Wi-Fi on campus. In the current era of technological advances, providing free internet service in the campus environment is essential to support teaching and learning activities of students and lecturers.
With the Wi-Fi provision, Lintasarta would provide a wide range of applications to support education. As a company engaged in field of communications and information technology services, the company has held various partnerships, including with the IBM company as the giant computer technology to create multiple IT applications.
Alfi also said that application that would be provided by Lintasarta were to support learning system, research, and development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). Specialized in the SME sector, the company supported the development of entrepreneurship among students.
“If the infrastructure is already ready, we can demand students to stay creative,” Alfi said.
Research and entrepreneurship development have been the focus of cooperation between Unpad and Lintasarta. Hopefully, by the provision of information technology, research and entrepreneurial activity on campus Unpad could increase. Other form of cooperation from Lintasarta was the development of Digital Marketing Program.
With the cooperation, Dr. Keri said that information technology was an important component to support learning activities, research, and community service. In relation to strengthening SME cooperation, the activity is in line with Unpad’s “Suka Padjadjaran” program to increase entrepreneurial activity in Unpad.
“We already have incubator facility of entrepreneurship and banking partners. Hopefully with the cooperation in the IT sector it would boost SMEs in Unpad further, “said Dr. Keri.
Dr. Keri hoped that this cooperation would also encourage development of applications for research that could be developed jointly between Unpad with Lintasarta.*
