[Unpad.ac.id, 16/04/2016] 22 companies participated in Alumni Association Universitas Padjadjaran (Ika Unpad) Job Fair 2016 in Bale Santika Unpad Jatinangor starting Sabtu (16/04) until Sunday (17/04). Several leading companies were getting many interests from job seekers, creating long queues in front of their stands. This Job Fair is open for public.

“There are 22 companies from various business sectors,” said Head of Organizer Ika Unpad Job Fair 2016, Ogi Ahmad during the event.

Furthermore Ogi said that this event was held as part of an effort to bridge the alumni with the working world. In addition to presenting a number of companies, this event also held seminars on topic of working world, including training for write a CV, job interview tips and tricks, as well as discussion of working world trend with speakers from Job Street.

“The role of Alumni Association is exactly this. These young alumni should feel the presence of Ika Unpad. This Job Fair is just one of the many Alumni Association Unpad programs to facilitate job seekers, new graduates, or alumni of this young, to enter into a new world, the working world, “said alumni of Faculty of Social and Political Sciences class of 2004.

Although it is open for public, alumni Unpad received more advantages, especially free entry for alumni Unpad, by producing Student Card or photocopy of their diploma.

At this Job Fair, alumni were asked to bring the soft and hard copy of their application file to be submitted at company’s booth of their choice. Besides submitting application files, some companies are also directly conducting interview.

“Hopefully job seekers or young alumni can quickly join the working world. In the future, when they are already at management level, they can also contribute to Alumni Association Unpad to return helping their juniors enter the working world, “said Ogi.*
