[Unpad.ac.id, 23/06/2016] Preparation of accreditation forms shall include a unified system of courses based on seven standards for Accreditation of Higher Education Institutions set by BAN PT. The seven standard are vision, mission and strategy, governance, student affairs, human resources, curriculum and learning, finance and infrastructure, as well as research and community engagement.

This was conveyed by Head of Quality Assurance Unit (SPM), Universitas Padjadjaran Hj. Rd. Funny Mustikasari Elita, M.Si, in the Training for Study Program Accreditation Form Preparation, held at the Oemi Abdurachman Room, Faculty of Communication Unpad, Thursday (23/06). The training was held until Friday (24/06) and was attended by Chairperson of the Quality Assurance Unit and Head of Study Programs in Unpad.
Dr. Funny explained that accreditation is actually an assessment of the same management, while the scope of the study program focused on aspects of learning and curriculum. In the accreditation forms it is not only discussing two aspects, but also include other standards that are not directly administered by the study program.
“Assessors will assess not only what is written in the accreditation forms, but the circumstances that exist at the faculty and the university. Then the accreditation of study programs are no longer sectoral, but also involves the institution as a whole,” said Dr. Funny.
Further, Dr. Funny said that the standard has been linked with other standards. For example, the assessor will assess whether there is a connection between vision and mission of the study program with the learning process and curriculum that are run.
“For example, if our vision and mission are international, they will check our international program. If the program is only limited to learning in the classroom and Tridharma, it is not realistic,” said the Lecturer of Communication Management Faculty of Communication Unpad.
Because forms are the result of processing, those written in the accreditation forms must be better and superior. Dr. Funny revealed various deficiencies found during processing into refined by reference to Study Program in the following years.
The principle of the forms preparation needs to convey Study Program’s conditions in the past, the present, and future. “We should not include the facts of the year and the one before, but also what our goals in the future,” added Dr. Funny.
Dr. Funny said that starting next year there will be changes in accreditation standards of the original seven to nine criteria. Therefore, her Division encouraged study programs whose accreditation expires in 2016 and 2017 to quickly assemble their forms. For study programs whose accreditation forms expired in 2016, they are expected to be submitted before October. As for the study programs whose accreditations are expired in 2017, the forms must be submitted before December.
This training covered seven technical standards and mechanisms for the preparation of Form 3A and 3B Self-evaluation. Hopefully, each study program has template of forms to prepare the next accreditation forms. *
