After Passing, Candidate of Education Laboratory Staff Unpad Attended Briefing

[Unpad.ac.id, 14/07/2016] 48 Candidate of Education Laboratory Staff (PLP) Employees Non-Civil Servant at Universitas Padjadjaran attended the briefing at Bale Rucita, Rectorate Building Jatinangor, Thursday (14/07). They are PLP Unpad Candidate who has passed a series of selection stages previously.

“This year is the first year we are recruiting more laboratory assistants. This is the first bath in university field, Universitas Padjadjaran as a pioneer of (PLP) Employees Non-Civil Servant recruitment, “said Head of General Administration Bureau, Slamet Suprapto, S. Sos., M.Sc. Attending the event were Managers of Governance and Resources of faculties as well as Head of Faculty.

Furthermore, Slamet said that rights and obligations of PLP Non-Civil Servant are not much different from the civil servants. “The rights and obligation is nearly similar to their civil servants colleagues,” he explained.

The selection has been implemented since May 2016, covering selection and administration, interviews, psychological test, to test Unpad-ness.

“All of you have excelled from a very tight selection processed. Of 283 people, only 48 people who passed, “said Manager of Governance and Resources, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences who is also PLP Unpad Team Selection, Dikdik Kurnia, PhD.

Furthermore Dikdik said PLP selection is more about quality, and not imposing number of passing PLP required Unpad. “We only just accepted those who already meet the minimum quality that we set,” he said.

PLP is a functional position, with special expertise in a specific field. PLP has the duties, responsibilities, and authority to perform laboratory management education, related to implementation of university Tridharma. The main task of PLP has been listed in Regulation of the Minister of State for Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform No. 3 in 2010.

“Speaking managerial, the job is from A to Z, from the start of planning, implementing, developing, and finally evaluation,” said Dikdik.

The candidates will follow a development program of PLP Non-Civil Servant Unpad for one year, starting in August 2016. Development activities will include orientation, state defense training, quality management systems training, assessment of credit points training, methods of research training, writing of research proposals and scientific papers training, performance evaluation and competency, comparative studies, up to the final evaluation of the prospective position of Non-Civil Servant Unpad.

Meanwhile, Chief of Division Officer Unpad, Drs. Minta Praga, MM., said that after a year, PLP candidates would participate in an orientation period before elected as a PLP, same as Prajabatan period for employees. The PLP will be categorized in Specific Functional power.

“Later after they reached 100 percent, they do not automatically hold certain functional position. There must be a stage of education or training to be a full lab personnel,” said Minta Praga. *
