[Unpad.ac.id, 12/08/2016] Universitas Padjadjaran got 1 silver and 1 bronze in The 29th National Student Scientific Week (Pimnas) in Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB). Victory announcement made by judges at Graha Widya Graduation IPB, Thursday (11/08).
Achieving silver medal was classroom poster by Research Student Creativity Program Eksakta (PKM- PE) team with the title “Increasing Rate of Water Solubility and Co-Crystalization of Simvastatin Dissolution Test through Crystallization Using Slurry Method Ko-Azam Former Benzoate, Saccharin and Aspartame”. The team head Ratna Mutia Dwi Kharisma led Harbowo Prakoso, M. Arnaj Madyan, and Willybordus Yoga Pratama, under supervision of Iyan Sopyan M.Sc., Apt.
Bronze medal won in class presentations by Nunuy Nuraeni, Ulfi Ainun Hanifah, Haifa Albiyola Rafa, Diana Nurachmah Fauzi, and Dian Elegant Permataningtyas with PKM Community Services (PKM-M) team entitled “Swordsman: Handling Early Accident on Highway by Method First Aid Management Training in Musculoskeletal Trauma in Effort to Reduce Mortality Due to Traffic Accident in Rural Environment Village Sayang Jatinangor District of Sumedang District”. The team is under supervision by dr. Adi Santosa Maliki, Sp. And.
In addition, Unpad team also won a championship favorite in the class presentation with PKM Entrepreneurship (PKM-K) titled “Cholesterol Bags: Bags Concept All in One, One for All”. This team consisted of Ghina Rahmadianti Mukarromah, Nuraeni Yasmin, Nessa Nuriftifa, Larasati Amaranggana, and Devi Meilani under supervision of Bony wiem Lestari, dr., M.Sc.
Despite the decline in the achievements compared with last year, Director of Student Affairs and Alumni Unpad, Dr. Ir. Heryawan Kemal Mustafa, M.Sc. stated his the appreciation of the participants achievement. “I am proud. Students here in Pimnas are our very best, and it was a difficult. Hopefully next year we can achieve more,” he said.
He also hoped that the coming year Pimnas preparation could be immediately conducted by involving all parties including elements in Program. What has been achieved by Padjadjaran University this year will also be taken into evaluation.
“We still have keep trying our best. If you check other preparations, we should follow the example of some of the universities,” he said.
Leaders Delegation Pimnas Padjadjaran University, Dr. Iman Hernaman, M.Sc. said similar statement. He also expected that PKM coaching could be done from the level of study programs. “For those who know the problems, and know about the science,” he said.
He further said that we need a system where PKM activity can nurture better than the one from the previous years. Including through the enactment of the transcripts of student activities or academic diploma companion. By doing so, students will earn points if certain achievement in student activities, and will affect graduation.
“With such a pattern, I am sure, the interest of students to PKM will be bigger, the quality will increase again,” he hoped.
For the participants the 29th Pimnas, Dr. Iman also greatly appreciated what has been done by them. He admitted that the road to Pimnas not easy.
“I appreciate the evidence of their seriousness, trying to perform optimally provide the best for Unpad,” said Dr. Iman.
In the 29th Pimnas, the first place champion is Universitas Brawijaya. In second place Universitas Gadjah Mada and Universitas Airlangga was in third place. *
