[Unpad.ac.id, 2/09/2016] Several students and alumni Universitas Padjadjaran became part of Indonesian delegation in ASEAN Recreation Festival Project (ARFP) 2016 in Thailand, 15–29 August. This event is a cultural exchange and collaboration of youth between young people in members of ASEAN countries.

The delegation were comprised of stufents from Teknologi Industri Pertanian FTIP Unpad; Arip Rahman Jaya, Bella Dina Anggun Kinanti, Laisa Runggu Yerike Aritonang, Erin Nur Fitriani, Nabilla Saptaryana Martha, Moehammad Fauzi, and two alumni as chaperone Aryanita Sembiring(alumnus FTIP) and Arina Qonita (alumna Fikom). The delegation is members of Local Enabler and Creative Forum Jatinangor, a community of entrepreneurship under the guidance of Dr. Dwi Purnomo, M.T., Lecturer of FTIP Unpad.
ARFP 2016 is a program held by Department of Physical Health, Ministry of Tourism and Sports Thailand Kingdom. Every delegation is given the chance to promote various culture and youth events to later produce collaboration among youth in ASEAN region.
The delegation was sent off officially by Director of Innovation and Academic Corporation Unpad, Prof. Tualar Simarmata. In Thailand, the delegation prmoted various culture and youth activities of Indonesia.
Laisa, one of the delegation members, revealed that this even has given many new experience and expanded the more networking with various parties. Beside Laisa, Aryanita also said that this even could provide deeper understanding of networking between community with other stakeholders in the era of MEA (Asean Economic Society) nowadays.
“This event is very useful for students to keep on their creation, adding their knowledge, and think ahead in facing the advancement of the era, and is able to be a place to expand the collaboration and network in international work to bring further advancement,” said Dr. Dwi.*
