Unpad Participate in Education Exhibition in Sekolah Madania Bogor

[Unpad.ac.id, 8/09/2016] Universitas Padjadjaran participated in the exhibition of higher education “Madania Education Exhibition (MEE) 2016: Dream Big: Seize it Today!” in the Campus Hall of Madania World Class Standard Indonesian School in Bogor, Wednesday (08/09). A total of 34 national and international universities joined the exhibition.

Chairperson of Event, Yuyun Wachyuniah, said that the MEE was held to provide updated information to the high school level students, especially class XII, related to the opportunity to continue their studies in higher education. Although the event was held at Madania campus, this educational exhibition was also attended by high school students from Bogor, Tangerang, and Depok, and the public.

“This event gives an opportunity for students to obtain complete information on colleges. Sometimes the information from the web or via phone does not always provide clear information, “said Yuyun as met in between activities.

In addition to providing full information to students, this activity also opens opportunities for cooperation between Madania with several universities. “With a good partnership, the children will have a lot of good information,” said the English teacher who also serves as coordinator of the University Center and the Student Service.

Participating in the exhibition are public and private universities, educational consultants, as well as two representatives from the ambassador’s office. Besides Unpad, also joined the event other public universities such as Universitas Indonesia, Bogor Agricultural University, and Bandung Institute of Technology.

Furthermore, Yuyun said that Unpad was invited as exhibitor based on the increasing number of students who intend to study at a national scale. Many Madania graduates have been accepted into Unpad, either through SNMPTN or SBMPTN.

“Because they grow interest in Unpad, of course we have to accommodate the information for the children and parents,” said Yuyun.

This activity is filled with exhibits and presentations from each participant universities. In addition, a seminar on teacher professional development and TOEFL prediction test were also held.

Exhibition and presentation about Unpad were conducted by Head of Selection and Registration Universitas Padjadjaran, Ahmad Baehaqi, S.Si., MT. Ahmad said that this exhibition has a positive value for early information related to courses and learning activities in Unpad. *
