[unpad.ac.id, 08/16/2018] A total of 160 participants attended the “Actualization of Unpad Archivist Actualization in Higher Education Archival Development” held by the Archives Office of Unpad in Saung Bali, Margaluyu Village, Tanjungsari Sub-District, Sumedang, Wednesday (15/8).
The workshop which was attended by Unpad archives coach Prof. Dr. Nandang Alamsah Deliarnoor, S.H., M.Hum., Was officially opened by the Head of Archives Office of Unpad Drs. Sudarma., MM. In his remarks, Sudarma said that functional positions are a way to bring it to the professional direction and are the spearhead of an institution to be able to develop.
This event was held to improve understanding of archivists about their duties and functions. Archivists are expected to develop themselves and actively improve their competence.
The workshop was filled with speakers from the archivists of Unpad, namely Sudarma, M.M., N.R. Anita Trikusumawati, M.M., Ope Destrian, M.I.Kom., And Wawat Setiawati. The material presented included human resource development, laws and regulations, culture and ethics, as well as infrastructure and archival funding.
Met on the sidelines of the event, Prof. Nandang said that in the Industrial Revolution Era 4.0, Unpad archivists have to equip themselves with various knowledge, both explicit and tacit. For this reason, archivists must follow the development of the era and increase knowledge and self-actualization.
In this workshop, the Unpad Archives Office also gave awards in the form of pinned pins to archive managers from various faculties who were considered meritorious and committed in carrying out their duties. They were Wiwi Widaningsih, Nandang Sunardi, Entin Kuraesin, Nana, Sholeh, Heni Rohaeni, and Yana Herdiana.
Through this activity, it is hoped that the relationship between Unpad archivists can continue through the Archivist Functional Position at Unpad, so that togetherness and collaboration will be formed well for archivists. *
