“Now users can easily see where the campus transportation is,” said Director of Unpad Facilities and Infrastructure, Dr. Irwan Ary Dharmawan on Thursday (8/30).
This information service is available to support integrated lectures conducted by Unpad. This service is expected to facilitate the academic community, education staffs, and Unpad partners who want to use campus transportation.
Dr. Irwan said, there are no specific requirements for what devices can be used for this services.
“The only thing is to connect to the internet and there is a browser,” said Dr. Irwan.
By utilizing this information service, users can find out the movements of some operating campus transportation. The information is available in three color codes: green for shuttle that passing through Natural Sciences Group Buildings, Yellow for Social and Humaniora Sciences, and Red indicates parking shuttle cars. (engine turned off).
In addition to facilitating users, this application is also useful to make vehicles maintenance better and faster. Dr. Irwan said, it will be easier to monitor the mileage, maximum speed, and fuel of each car as well as its schedule of maintenance and service.
Besides campus transportation information services, currently all Unpad rooms (class, labs. and other functional rooms) can also be accessed online. Users can access http://sarpras.unpad.ac.id/lokasikampus to find out the location of the room being searched.
Dr. Irwan added, currently Unpad has standardized the rooms code entire Unpad Jatinangor campus. Thus, every faculty and its rooms has the same code. The code has 12 digits, including location, area, zone, building, floor and room codes.
“Currently Unpad already has a standard code,” he said. *
