2018 Bidikmisi Unpad Students Joined Self Development Training

[unpad.ac.id, 10/10/2018] Unpad held a Self Development Training for 2018 Class Bidikmisi Students at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Nursing Unpad, Jatinangor, last Tuesday (9/10). This event was attended by around 500 participants.

This training is a series of Bidikmisi student coaching activities for one year under the supervision of the Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs which is managed by the Academic and Student Managers at the faculty level, and is assisted by the previous generation Bidikmisi students (foster brothers).

Academic and Student Manager of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences Unpad Dr. Herry Wibowo, who acted as the speaker in the event, opened a forum for discussion about the struggle for life, the importance of being grateful, and the future life plan.

During the presentation and explanation of the material, participants were also treated to a number of small games which added to the excitement of this training event. Not merely as an ice breaker, this game also demanded sportsmanship, agility, concentration, and other moral values ​​from the participants. The prize for participants who get the most golden ticket increased enthusiasm of the participants of the training.

The core Self Development Training program aimed to develop students’ self potential. Overall, the students were given material and presentation on tips to develop themselves according to the demands of the recent era, tips on achieving success, and motivation to become a better person. In this event, participants were required to be more skilled and ready to make better changes in the future.

At the end of the event, the participants were divided into small groups accompanied by foster brothers and one accompanying lecturer. The division of this group was used to monitor students’ self-development to realize students who are skilled, creative and innovative, superior, achievers, and can contribute to the future. *
