[unpad.ac.id, 10/23/2018] Rector of Unpad Prof. Tri Hanggono Achmad invited the lecturers to develop academic leadership attitudes. This attitude is an important key in managing activities in universities.

This was conveyed by the Rector in the “Academic Leadership Camp” (ALC) held at the Unpad campus area in Arjasari, Tuesday (23/10). This camp was attended by a number of Vice Rectors, Deans, Directors, and representatives of lecturers from each faculty in Unpad.
The holding of this activity was an effort to develop academic leadership attitudes among lecturers. The lecturers exchanged views and experiences with Unpad leaders on how to manage universities.
“I am convinced that theoretically people can access academic leadership materials, but aspects of practical experience are important, “he said.
Mutual interaction and interaction with each other is expected to increase the capacity of Unpad human resources who are ready to face the challenges of managing higher education. For this reason, each faculty sent 2 representatives of lecturers who hold doctorates and are up to 40 years old to participate in this field activity.
“We are trying to add talents in the aspect of academic leadership,” added the Rector.
Furthermore, the Rector said, starting in 2019, Unpad must develop a master plan for university development in the next 25 years. This is based on the status of Unpad as a State University Legal Entity (PTNBH).


The Rector hoped, through this activity, the lecturers can improve their academic leadership capacity while being able to transmit to other academics.
This event was filled with discussions between lecturers and university leaders based on certain groups. Each group discussed the challenges and management solutions of Unpad that were expected to generate responses and solutions to various problems that occured in managing Unpad.
