At the Executive Lounge Building 2, Unpad campus in Dipati Ukur, a cooperation agreement was signed by the two parties on Thursday (06/12) as a follow up from the previous signing of the memorandum of understanding.

The signing was done by the dean of nursing faculty, H. Mamat Lukman, S.KM., S.Kp., M.Si., the representative of the dean of faculty of medicine, Prof.Dr. med. Tri Hanggono Achmad, Dr. Oki Suwarsa, dr.,M.Kes.,Sp.KK and Brigadier General TNI Dr. dr. Robert M. Hutauruk, Sp.OT., FICS., M.M.

The vice rector III, Dr. med. Setiawan, argues that the agreement will result in excellent service from both parties for the society at large.

“We are committed to cooperating with the ministry of defense, especially the directorate general of defense, particularly in improving the quality of human resources in the health directorate for better service for the society,” said he.

Their other shared concern is to organize education programs for ministry of defense’s staff members in the two aforementioned faculties. This will also help the ministry to organize staff admission. “We can accordingly set annual quota for personnel based on the health directorate’s record,” said he. Similar cooperation is also open for other faculties due to the ministry of defense’s interests in all aspects of education.

Dr. Setiawan added that the agreement should not stop only at signing. Intense interaction should remain continuous in addition to monitoring and evaluation for all admitted staff who are now becoming students.

Similarly, Dr. Hutauruk had high hope that the agreement will result in many positive outcomes. “We, on behalf of the Indonesian National Armed Forces, admit that we have been receiving so much from Unpad. Unpad have made us really proud,” said he.

The armed forces’ policy determines that staff should receive proper and linear education that will benefit both the individuals and the institution.
