Incentives for Accurate Work Performances in Unpad

[Unpad.ac.id, 11/12/2012] It is now compulsory that all work units in Unpad submit gradual reports on main performance indicators (IKU) and key performance indicators (IKK). In order to put the reports in systematical order, Administrative Planning Bureau and Information System (BAPSI) organizes a workshop on “Guidelines for IKU and IKK, on Tuesday (11/12) at Oemi Abdurrahman Hall, Faculty of Communication Science (FIKOM) in Jatinangor.

“Each report will be made as a basis for more detailed information on every activity that each unit has conducted,” said Sudarma. Accordingly, the reports have to be accurate, grounded on authentic data. “The faculty of medicine, for example, claims that they have publicized 39 pieces of research in national journals. The question is whether the number is accurate or not. Enclosed evidence therefore should be included,” said he. In addition, the data would also serve an important role if clarification should ever be made.

Giving similar response, the vice rector II argues that review is necessary during the process of making the reports and filling the IKU and IKK. It frequently happens that data are not in accordance with the work that each unit has actually performed. “Most data are just estimates.”
The workshop addresses such issue and stresses the importance of systematic reports which include report arrangement, planning, and budgeting. “When data are to be updated, Unpad information system will automatically validate them which show that reporting is taking place,” said she.

Should there be incoherent data, the system will send recommend that the data be resent to be re-examined. Afterward, planning and budgeting for the following year events will be immediately processed. Unpad runs a budgeting flexibility which is carefully organized and accountable. Each accurate reporting will be given incentives. “Those accurate IKK will be made basis for future planning,” she concluded.
