Dede Yusuf Places the First According to PK2S FMIPA Unpad Poll Result

 

[Unpad.ac.id, 2812/2012] According to the most recent survey held from November 30 to December 12, 2012 by the Center for Statistic Profession and Studies (PK2S) Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) Unapd, Dede Yusuf is now the strongest candidate that runs for the governor of West Java.

The secretary of PK2S FMIPA Unpad, Tata Wirasasmita during press conference in the Executive Lounge, Gedung 2 Kampus Unpad Bandung, Jumat (28/12).

“The number of respondent totals 2313 from 26 municipalities/regencies in West Java province,” said the head of PK2S, Dr. Toni Toharudin, M.Sc, when speaking at the press conference held in Unpad Executive Lounger on Friday (28/12). The age of the respondents ranges from 18 to 62 and 56.35% are male with varying education and professional backgrounds.

Tony added that the survey makes use of Two Way Stratification Sampling, the first stratification of which refers to residency, the second of which to education and profession. “This is our second poll making use of the same sampling method,” he added. Ahmad Heryawan, Rieke Diah Pitaloka, MS. Syarifuddin, are in the second, third, and fourth positions, respectively.

Dr. Budi Rajab, lecturer at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences Unpad, argues that the popularity is due to their long career as celebrities.

However, there are still undecided voters. Budi argued that this is due to “ideological stance and pragmatism,” he concluded.
