A number of representatives from high schools in Bandung were invited to come to Unpad campus in Dipati Ukur on Tuesday (29/01) for briefing from the local committee of SNMPTN 2013. Present in the event were Rudi Saprudin Darwis, the head of local committee for SNMPTN 2013, Unpad Vice Rector I, Prof. Engkus Kuswarno, Dean of Faculty of Pharmacy, Dr. Ahmad Muhtadi, M.S., Apt., the Head of Academic Admininistrative Bureau, Dr. H. Isis Ikhwansyah, S.H., M.H., CN., and representative of the national SNMPTN committee, Drs. Bambang Hermanto, M.Si.

This year, SNMPTN takes the invitation route mechanism. So, there will not be any written exam. As for the written examination, this will be included in collective entrance examination, called SBMPTN.

“This time, SNMPTN is based on student achievements since the first semester of their study in high school,” said Darwis. Accordingly, all high schools are required to complete the original school and student data base (PDSS) before February 8, 2013 for this will determine whether a student is eligible to take the SNPMTN 2013. “PDSS should be filled in correctly. Should there be grades that need to be verified, the students can have the verification until February 8,” said Kuswarno.

Another requirement is that students should already be registered as examination participants. They can choose any program they think suitable with their interest and academic achievement. “You may choose any program that you think would be best for you, in accordance with your own competence,” Kuswarno added.

As for Unpad Nyaah ka Jabar, the program has at least listed 84 student candidates to be admitted in Unpad. They will have to go through local selection. Selection will be based on individual grades.
