In providing education as required by statutory regulations, Unpad has established its Scientific Core Pattern (PIP): “The Advancement of Law and Environmental Sustainability in National Development”. The values included in this PIP serve as the foundation for Unpad’s Vision and become a guide for the academic community in achieving Unpad’s Vision and Mission.

Unpad’s vision as outlined in the Strategic Plan 2025-2029 is “To become a world-class center for sustainable, inclusive education and knowledge, encouraging global innovation and creating great impact on society.
Universitas Padjadjaran’s Missions
As stated in the Unpad Statute, Unpad’s mission includes:
- Implementing the Tridharma of higher education which is able to meet the demands of the community of users (stakeholders) of higher education services;
- Providing internationally competitive higher education that is relevant to the needs of stakeholders, contributing to intellectual development and community welfare
- Organizing higher education with professionalism and accountability to enhance the university’s reputation; And
- Forming academic individuals who uphold the nobility of local and national culture within the diversity of world cultures.

Unpad has set strategic goals to be achieved in the realization of its 2025-2029 Vision, focusing on three priority strategic objectives and four driving elements.
