[Unpad.ac.id, 18/03/2013] Nowadays, distance does not seem to matter. Today (18/03), 40 students from SMAN 6 Bengkulu together with their teachers arrived safely in Jatinangor. They were all welcomed by the head of Unpad public relation, Weny Widyowati and her staff, Safa Annissa, in the Rectorate Building.

According to the vice principle for student affairs SMAN 6 Bengkulu, Erma Wati, they felt encouraged to pay this first visit because they knew that Unpad is one of the most favorite universities. Knowing this, students should know better about the university. “We would like to get our students know better about Indonesia’s top universities,” said she.

Widyowati showed her enthusiasm in welcoming the group from Bengkulu. “We are so excited about your visiting us, which means that you show appreciation for this university,” said she. Widyowati continued with presentation on the history of Unpad, faculties, achievements, and campus facilities that the university has. As of today, as many as 80,977 student candidates are applying to Unpad.

The students were very attentive and felt rewarded by the pieces of information that she had just given. “She gave a very thorough information. This makes me want to study here even more,” said one student.

Erma Wati felt optimistic about most of her students being admitted in Unpad. “Hopefully the visit can motivate them to be able to compete with other students when entering Unpad,” she concluded.
