[Unpad.ac.id, 26/03/2013] Today (26/03), people gather in Unpad campus Dipati Ukur. Hoping to get themselves employed, they are trying their luck in Unpad Job Fair 2013. As many 60 enterprises take part in the event which is organized by Unpad in collaboration with the Office of Manpower and Transmigration of West Java Province.
“The event is held annually to provide our alumni information and opportunities of employment. Hopefully, in the future we can organize it more often, perhaps four events per year,” said the head of Manpower and Transmigration office, Hening Widiatmoko when opening the event. The opening was officially marked by hitting the gong. Attending the ceremony are Unpad vice rector of learning and student affairs, Engkus Kuswarno and a number of faculties.
Widiatmoko has high hope that Unpad, among many other universities, can create professionally excellent graduates. Therefore, partnerships with many enterprises and cooperation are seen necessary.
Kuswarno shows agreement to his statement saying that there will more events held to accommodate professional skills of Unpad graduates. Unpad has been running Career Development Center in which cooperation and Unpad can sit together and discuss all issues related to employment.
Unpad Job Fair 2013 also hosts seminar on self motivation, communication skills, and composing excellent curriculum vitae. It is free and open for public.
