[Unpad.ac.id,02/04/2013] Usep Rohmat, a sophomore in the Welfare Science Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, was admitted in Unpad via Bidikmisi program 2011.

“I enjoy studying in Unpad. I get to live in on-campus dormitory and make many friends,” said Rohmat when interviewed in his dorm on Tuesday (04/02). For Rohmat, the environment is conducive to learning and interacting, which is evident in his excellent IPK (cumulative achievement index, equivalent to GPA).
Rohmat is physically impaired. However, that does not stop him from pursuing his dream, i.e. to get proper education in a higher institution. “I go to Unpad because I have goals. I understand that it is not easy, but I refuse to remain static,” said he.
Endowed Bidikmisi scholarship, Rohmat, who was financially unable, can now study in Unpad. “If you don’t have enough money to go to college, you can always find scholarship. Bidikmisi is one of the many programs that can address your financial issues,” said he. Upon receiving the scholarship, Rohmat understands that he now has new responsibilities. He has to study hard, score achievement, perform well in his academic life, and graduate on time.
The allowance that he receives monthly is considered sufficient. “It’s not much, but it certainly helps me fulfill my need,” said he. The program is directed for those who have financial issues. Supervision is therefore needed in order to make the scholarship arrive at those who actually in need and not misused.
