Unpad hands awards on its 56th Dies Natalies

[Unpad.ac.id, 11/09/2013] Commemorating its 56th Dies Natalis, Unpad gave several awards to institutional figures and university members who are considered meritorious in improving the quality of university’s cultural education and development. The awards were directly handed by Unpad Rector, Prof. Ganjar Kurnia at the Senate Open Session, Wednesday (11/09) in the hall of Grha Sanusi Hardjadinata Unpad, Bandung.

The awards include Anugerah Padjadjaran Utama, Anugerah Mahaguru, Anugerah Rumawat Padjadjaran, Satya Karya Bahkti Padjadjaran, and Satya Karya Adi Siswa Padjadjaran, and also Satya Karya Bhakti Kelas I, Satya Karya Bhakti Kelas II, Satya Karya Purnabakti, Satya Karya Jasabhakti to a number of lecturers and administrative staff members in Unpad.

The Anugerah Padjadjaran Utama was given to Minister of State-owned Enterprises Republic of Indonesia, Dr. (HC) Dahlan Iskan for his enormous dedication to the nation, particularly in encouraging cooperation between the university and State-owned Enterprises.

“Thanks to Dahlan Iskan, Unpad has been assigned to involve in the research for raw materials of medicines, such as Paracetamol and Albumin and excipients research with PT. Kimia Farma, PT. Indofarma, and PT. Biofarma,” said Rector in his speech.

Iskan showed his appreciation for the award saying that it would motivate him to improve his performance. “Unpad has the potential of a number of technologies developed by lecturers and researchers for the nation,” said he.

The same award was also given to West Java Governor, Ahmad Heryawan for his efforts in encouraging the development of human resources in the region through 100 Midwives Program.

Other awards given at the ceremony included Anugerah Mahaguru for Prof. Dr. Nurhalim Shahib for health research orientating in Intellectual Property Right and its publication in international journals, Anugerah Rumawat Padjadjaran to Mangle Magazine, represented by its Editor in Chief, drs. Oejang Darodjatoen for the consistency in publishing magazine in Sundanese language since 1857 and Wahyu Wibisana for his contribution in Kasundaan culture and literature, Satya Bhakti Padjadjaran for the late Prof. Dr. Sulaeman Tirtawijaya for his research named “Citrus Vein Ploem Digeneration (CVPD)”, and Satya Karya Adi Siswa Padjadjaran to several students including Brata Kusuma Santoso (FEB), Ajanti Parwito (FISIP), Yanti Silviana (FISIP), Ayu Tri Lestari Utami (FISIP), and Muhammad Taufiq Sunyoto (FIB).

In addition, Satya Karya Bhakti Kelas I award was given to 270 persons, Satya Karya Bhakti Kelas II to 124 persons, Satya Karya Purnabhakti for 80 persons, and Satya Karya Jasabhakti for 9 persons. On the same occasion, Unpad also signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PT. Hijau Lestari for developing livestock and forestry in Unpad.
