[Unpad.ac.id, 29/11/2013] Implementing the project The Quality Improvement of Padjadjaran University funded by foreign loan through Islamic Development Bank (IDB), Unpad organized Building Planning Workshop at Luxton Hotel, Bandung on Thursday-Friday (28-29/11).

The workshop was held to conclude a decent planning in accordance with each user’s need and applied regulations for state buildings through foreign loan. “It is important for us to be cautions in making the plan so that the implementation will be better than the planning,” said PIC Procurement PMU IDB Unpad, Ace Tatang Hidayat, M.Si., M.M.
The participants ranged from users and consultants, including planning consultants, supervising consultants, and equipment consultants. The users were represented by faculties and units in where the buildings will be erected.
The purposed establishment will include buildings for faculty’s administration and learning at Faculty of Economy and Business, Faculty of Agrobusiness Technology, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Faculty Pharmacy, Faculty of Geology, and Faculty of Nursing. In addition, a library and a joint research laboratory will also in the scheme. Therefore, there will be 18 building erected in Unpad Jatinangor.
To explain the concept of building planning and maintenance, representatives from Residential and Housing Unit West Java Region and Financial and Development Supervisory Agency were present as speakers. Furthermore, the results from planning between users and consultants were evaluated after a discussion on the issue.
The outputs from the workshop will be disseminated to the officials in university and faculties to be proposed for agreement to IDB. The project is expected to realize in the middle of 2014.
