[Unpad.ac.id, 16/12/2015] Two Dean Candidates for Faculty of Agriculture Industrial Technology (FTIP) Universitas Padjadjaran, Dr. Ir. Edy Suryadi, MT and Dr. Dwi Purnomo, STP., MT., attended the program socialization in FTIP Amphiteater Unpad, Jatinangor, Wednesday (16/12).

Rector, Prof. Tri Hanggono Achmad, and the Vice Rectors attended the event. Vice Rector for Governance and Resources Unpad who also acted as Chairman of the Dean Selection Committee and Vice Dean, Dr. Sigid Suseno, SH., M. Hum in his speech explained that Dean Candidates Socialization activities was one of the five series of selection that must be passed by Dean Candidates in Unpad.

On this occasion, Dr. Dwi explained the concept of “Leap & Lead Into Global Faculty”. In order to achieve this, creative process must be adopted. “The basis of philosophy is how we can jump so we can lead,” said Dr. Dwi.
He also presented 9 pillars of innovation that should be priority to lead FTIP to become the Center for High Value Added Agroindustrial Development Support. These pillars were: Tridharma integration, network broadening, integrated web based application, academic atmosphere improvement, organization revitalization, human resource competence & value creation, research commercialization & industrial collaboration, students activities & community development, and financial support system.

Meanwhile, another Dean Candidates, Dr. Edy presented points re optimization of faculty resources toward global competition. In his strategy, he elaborated the importance of improving faculty managerial system, including excellent service, academic ability, teamwork, and advancement.
Dr. Edy’s work program were increasing institutional strengthening, improving inclusive governance quality, increasing power that supported revitalization of the PIP in implementation of Tridharma, strengthening research on food sustenance, renewable energy, and environmental conservation, strengthening innovation, and increasing learning quality and student.*
