[Unpad.ac.id, 16/01/2016] Student activity should not only benefit students, but also able to give good impact on society. Moreover, society puts their hope in university because not many people have a chance of being enrolled in university.

Rector Universitas Padjadjaran, Prof. Tri Hanggono Achmad, mentioned this during his speech in Student Meeting, discussing the theme of “Student Organizations in the Statute and Organization of Work business (OTKP) Universitas Padjadjaran” in Bale Sawala Jatinangor, Friday (15/01). The meeting attended by leaders of student organizations and faculty was held two days until Saturday (16/01).
“Together, we are honored to be a part of this higher education institution. Community has harbored hopes out of this honor. Let’s prove that this could have implications for the public good, “said Rector.
Therefore, Rector invited students to design and carry out activities that are not only giving pride to students but also to consider solving society’s problems.
“You can only think for other people if you behave as a leader, holding the role of an individual with Dedication to Society and homeland nation builder,” said Rector.
Meanwhile Director of Student Affairs and Alumni Padjadjaran University, Dr. Heryawan Kemal Mustafa, said that after Unpad turned into Legal Entities State University, every of its activity should be in line with new statutes, including student activities.
“Rector set a target that in January the entire division in Unpad is ready and in line with the statutes. By next February, everything would have been effective running entirely,” said Heryawan.
This activity also featured musical performances and motivation speech from Unpad alumnus, Iwan RA Abdul Rahman who was a member of the Board of Trustees, Universitas Padjadjaran.*
