[Unpad.ac.id, 8/04/2016] After four years of activity, Padjadjaran Ensemble Community (PEC) hoped to be recognized as official Student Activity Unit in Universitas Padjadjaran. PEC is a coaching forum for students who have an interest and talent in music.
“Unpad already has marching bands unit as well as art unit. We are hoping that PEC will be officially recognized as Unpad UKM with interests in music, “said Chairman of PEC, Evy Sulfiani Komala, during the concert of PEC at the Lobby of Rectorate Building, Friday (8/04).
This concert is an evaluation for rigorous exercises of the new members of PEC. There are 31 new PEC members participating in the concert, Including players of guitar, violin, and keyboard.
PEC started their activities in 2012 under the name Orkestra Padjadjaran. Since late 2014, this community changed its name into Padjadjaran Ensemble Community.
PEC Head Coach, Dian Indira, said that PEC has been involved in a number of events both in and out of campus. Therefore, in addition to hoping to be recognized as a Student Activity Unit, Dian also hoped that PEC could obtain a permanent training space for the members.
“Yet the main purpose of the community is to provide more opportunity for Unpad students to learn music,” said Dian Indira who is also Lecturer of German Literature in FIB Unpad.*
