[Unpad.ac.id, 4/05/2016] Governor of Lampung M Ridho Ficardo, visited Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science (FPIK) Universitas Padjadjaran in line with cooperation between Lampung Provincial Government and FPIK Unpad.
The meeting was held in Professor Room,FPIK Universitas Padjadjaran, attended by Governor of Lampung M Ridho Ficardo, Head of Lampung Provincial Fishery Office, Dr.Ir. Iskandar, .M.Si., Dean of FPIK Unpad, Vice Dean I and II, and their staffs. The cooperation plan discussed was related to the strategic plan in the field of fisheries and marine in Lampung Province.
Lampung Governor said Lampung province possessed large maritime resources potential, but has not been optimally exploited. Therefore, Lampung Provincial government held cooperation with with FPIK Unpad, to compose a proposal of Grand Design of Field of Fisheries and Marine to be proposed to Lampung Provincial Government.
The cooperation proposals should be submitted to the Lampung provincial administration as soon as possible. If possible, it could be realized this year and included in the budget of the Provincial Government of Lampung, said Donny Juliandri, as Manager of Student and Alumni Relations FPIK Unpad.
The grand design is a mapping ecotourism in Lampung Province. The grand design itself includes a plan mapping of tourism potential in the coastal area of Lampung. It would not only include ecotourism alone but also mapping of fishing ground in order to recognize the potential optimal fish catching areas in Lampung.
In developing the plan, Governor of Lampung who are alumni of Faculty Fisheries and Agriculture of Universitas Padjadjaran in 1998, invited academics, researchers and students to actively participate in research to develop the project.
