[Unpad.ac.id, 11/10/2016] As attempt to preserve culture, Lingkung Seni Sunda Universitas Padjadjaran (Lises Unpad) held a culture discussion with theme of “Raksukan Sunda” in Bale Rumawat Campus Unpad Dipati Ukur, Saturday (8/10). The event with tagline tagline “Kuring wanoh tur mikacinta raksukan Sunda” is one of the work programs of Division of Research and Development Lises Unpad.
This event discussed the Raksukan Sundanese Sundanese or clothing that is usually used both for daily activities or certain activities such as pangsi and kebaya with keynote speakers M. Asep Rewards Adipraja (cultural observer), Prof. Drs. Jakob Sumardjo (philosopher ITB), and Deri Eka Firmansyah, S.Pd and moderator Siti Hajar Riyanti, SP.
“The talkshow have thoroughly discussed about pangsi and kebaya ranging from philosophy, intent and purpose of the proper use of both types of these clothes,” said Chairman of the Committee, Siti Aminah.
The event was attended by approximately 160 people ranging from college students to the observer of Sundanese culture this place exciting and interactive between the audience and the speakers.
“Hopefully, the event can provide additional insight about Sunda Raksukan so that the younger generations can continue to preserve and love Sundanese culture so it is not lost by Western culture that is increasingly eroding local wisdom,” said Siti Aminah. *
