[Unpad.ac.id, 14/11/ 2016] A total of 11 teams of students participated in the Scientific Agriculture Fair (ASF) 2016 held by the Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Agriculture (Faculty of Agriculture), Padjadjaran University Affairs Ministry and the Ministry of Scientific Reasoning and Strategic Studies, in Unpad, on 27 to 30 October 2016. ASF is an annual event BEM Unpad Faculty of Agriculture since 2015, and this year the theme of “Integration Nations Children’s Towards Sustainable Development Indonesia Gold 2045”.
ASF 2016 was held with the hope to increase the participation of Indonesian students to become change agents and innovators in playing an important and significant contribution to apply the concepts of sustainable development and its application. A series of activities in 2016 featured is ASF Scientific Writing Contest (ICI), Debate, and Poster Contest.
As the first champion in the ICI is a team Reclamation of Unpad. Meanwhile, in the second position was Tungku Osamtu of the University of Mataram and the third position achieved by Panton House of the State University of Semarang.
In Debate Competition, Pasundan University managed to become the winner and awarded as the Best Debate Team, and Best Debate Speaker achieved by Apip Nurdin from Bogor Agricultural Institute. For Poster Contest, the winner is the State University of Semarang.
In addition, the ASF in 2016 also held a National Seminar on Bale Sawala, Universitas Padjadjaran, Jatinangor, on Saturday (29/10). The Keynote Speaker is Dr. Sc. Agr. Supreme Karuniawan, M.Sc.Agr, a lecturer at the Faculty of Agriculture Unpad.
Also presenting as speakers at the seminar were the Director of the National Agricultural Development Commodity Market Indonesia Ir. H. Soekam Parwadi featuring material in the theme Importance of Mastery National and International Markets for Agricultural Products Domestic, Member of Parliament 2014-2019 period H. Oo Sutisna featuring material to the theme of the Legislative Support In Toward Sustainable Development Towards Gold Indonesia 2045, and Lecturer of Faculty of Agriculture Unpad, Dr. Iwan Setiawan, SP., MSi who featured material to the theme of Indonesia’s Gold Strategy Toward 2045 Academician.
On the last day, the participants attended Excursion Day at Saung Angklung Udjo, Bandung. The participants were invited to play angklung that has been recognized internationally by UNESCO. After the visit to Saung Udjo, participants departed for the Asia-Africa Conference sites and Braga City Walk as the closing event of Scientific Agriculture Fair 2016. *
